Mahalo Naty!

Aloha ‘Ohana!

Ko’olauloa Health Center is announcing the retirement of Nativad “Naty” Camit Hopewell, beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and provider of this community.

Originally born in the Philippines and raised in Kahuku, Oahu, Naty has been serving the Ko’olauloa community since 2002. She began her career at Ko’olauloa Health Center in November 2004 as an advocate for the initial funding to start the health center itself. Her husband, Mike Hopewell, and herself volunteered as the CFO and an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to help get the health center off its feet. In addition to being a medical provider at Ko’olauloa Health Center, Naty also held other positions including, but not limited to, Outreach Supervisor, Quality Improvement Officer, and Medical Director. She could do anything from helping you find the help that you needed to providing and getting the care that her patients deserved. Naty was very passionate and cared for the well-being of her patients whether they were her own patients or someone that just walked in and needed care.

When she’s not serving her community as a medical provider, Naty likes to tend to her garden, is a member of her church choir, and a ukulele student. She also belongs to the Bromeliad Society, is a trained artist, and is an author of multiple health-related articles.

She will be truly missed here at Ko’olauloa Health Center. We wish her the best in retirement and hope that she continues to travel and see the world as the avid, worldly traveler that she is.
P.S. Don’t worry, we still have other providers to see you!
